About Us

Volunteer Academy is a non-profit organization that is entirely run by student volunteers. We work with only the most intelligent and honest middle and high school students to educate children in a variety of subjects.

Our mission is to provide quality education to children that need it because we believe that every child deserves equal opportunity. We also believe that kids are the best at understanding other kids, which is why we work with intelligent and honest middle and high school student volunteers to help teach other children in ways that they will comprehend.

We teach all subjects for grades 5 and below. If you have a student in grades 6-8 and are interested in our services, email us to figure out a plan that works for you. We also offer homework help. Learn more about Homework Club on the “Clubs” page!

During (and even after!) the COVID-19 pandemic, we understand that some children need extra enrichment in addition to school. We’ve also noticed that many schools are only offering in-person education, which you may not be comfortable with. That is why, as of right now, VA is entirely online-based for your children’s safety.

Our teachers might be students, but we chose them for a reason. Kids are the best at understanding and explaining things to other kids. As kids grow into adults, their way of thinking changes, making it hard for adults to step down to young children’s levels. Our volunteers are proficient students that can be trusted to give your children the best learning experience they can offer.
